What are widgets?
Widgets are the promotional messages available in lightweight JavaScript that you can easily embed directly on your website or mobile application.
Why are widgets important?
Widgets are a great way to inform your customers about their payment options with Tamara.

Placement of Tamara components on your website or mobile application

Merchants may use banners mentioning acceptance of Tamara payments.
What is needed to implement the widgets?
Use our interactive widgets documentation to learn how our widgets will look and feel on your website and mobile application, so that you can implement them to let shoppers know Tamara is available, as they browse your website or mobile application.
Change the look and feel of all of the assets below to match your brand. We'll ensure that the messaging is compliant and up-to-date.
Prerequisites
- You will need a ‘Tamara public key‘ for your Tamara account to enable these widgets.
- Each store has its own public key; that public key pulls what options are available to your store as per the configuration at Tamara’s end, and automatically renders the appropriate widget content with the available options. You will not be required to change the widget's design or configuration at any time to accommodate any changes at Tamara’s side.
- You will have 2 different public keys; 1 for the Sandbox Testing environment and 1 for the Production environment.
- This public key will be available along with the rest of your account tokens in the email sent to you for the Sandbox Testing phase and in the email containing your Production tokens, respectively.
Alternatively,- Collect your production public key directly from the Tamara’s Partners Portal from the Tamara API Credentials section of the sidebar
- You can reach out to your Key Account Manager, if you have one, or
- Write to [email protected] requesting for it.
Note: Please mention your business account name (merchant name) in the request.
